Investment & Strategic Partnerships

How investment partnership works

Investor services build on policy resources and market capital, connecting strategic investors, corporate venture capital (CVC), venture firms and industry partners in a shared mechanism. Support covers target screening, industry trend analysis, pre-investment assessment and post-investment support, to narrow information gaps and move capital, technology and markets together.

The channels offer several entry points — funds, corporate venture capital and local capital — matched to a company’s stage and use of funds.

Three investment channels

Case assessment process

These are the committee’s published assessment steps. They describe a process and are not an investment commitment to any company.

  1. Deal sourcing

Sourced directly or referred by role-model founders, accelerators, CVCs and other partners.

  2. Desk review and first visit

The committee’s working group makes an initial assessment of investment or business opportunities.

  3. Chairman & CEO Roundtable and business exchange

Companies are matched by industry group, and mentors are assigned to assess product, technology and investment fit.

  4. Product and business validation

Mentors assess technology or strategic-partnership potential.

  5. Investment assessment

    Mentors assess the investment opportunity.

  6. Convenors’ meeting and due diligence

The convenors decide whether to recommend the company to committee members; due diligence and subscription follow.

How a Chairman & CEO Roundtable runs

Each session brings together at least five representatives of larger companies and at least two SMEs or startups. It can lead to one-to-one business matching or strategic investment.

  1. Progress on previous cases

The working group reports on earlier cases and introduces today’s company.

  2. Pitch

The founder sets out a concrete problem to role-model founders and strategic investors.

  3. Questions

Role-model founders and strategic investors ask questions to help identify the real issue.

  4. Advice

Participants offer specific, actionable suggestions to widen the founder's options.

  5. Summary

The founder sums up and sets out follow-up actions and timing.
